These guidelines ensure proper coordination when a contractor requests any changes to their work schedule. All schedule change requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance to allow time for client review and approval.
Any of the following must follow this process:
Shift start or end time changes
Changes to break schedules
Switching workdays or days off
Any other changes that affect the contractor’s agreed working hours
Submit a formal proposal
The contractor must send a formal written request at least 2 weeks before the proposed effective date of the new schedule.
Include the following details in the proposal:
Current schedule
Proposed schedule
Reason for the change
Desired start date
Send the proposal to the client
The request must be sent directly to the client for review.
The client has the right to approve, decline, or negotiate the proposed schedule.
No schedule change should take effect until the client has provided clear approval.
Last-minute changes will not be accommodated unless there are exceptional circumstances. Any urgent changes must still be communicated formally and require client approval.
