Here are some ideas to help you understand more about the gaming industry. You should be looking specifically at things such as:

the size (revenue/sales) of the industry
the market share of the different gaming platforms (eg: mobile, computer, console)
the market share of the different gaming consoles (within the console share)
the market share of the different categories of games
the typical gamer demographic (age, gender, income, etc)

To begin, make a list of all of the different game platforms available on the market today.

Then, make a list of all the different game types/categories that are on the market.

Choose a popular video game and undertake research about it:

category
platform(s)
total sales ($)
total sales (players/users/downloads/etc)
brief overview of the 'storyline' and features of the game
find an example of marketing material used in the promotion of this game
explanation of the primary customer target (must give reasons)
explanation of how the platform, storyline, features and marketing connect to this customer group

Collate this in a simple document and upload to Managebac.

You will be presenting these in class tomorrow.
