StartUp.lab is a two year program that sees students building the skills and attitudes necessary to succeed in business and in life more generally. Over the two years, students learn about the entrepreneurial mindset, develop an understanding of their own skills, values and interests, and the process of idea generation, customer discovery, product development and startup finance.
Students learn how to discover, analyse and present business data and information, as well as how to use customer discovery to better understand the needs of potential customers. Students will learn about promotion and marketing of products, including the development of their own product ideas. They will learn about business and revenue models and how different approaches impact on business success and financial viability, including a strong focus on startup financing. Students will be asked to identify and evaluate business opportunities, and will study the impact of innovation and disruption in the market.
Students will apply their collected learning to the development, launch and operation of their own startup enterprise.
