Objectives

Acceleration.lab reflects the values of H-Farm through the development of entrepreneurial skills and attitudes in students.

Through participation in Acceleration.lab, students will develop:

• An understanding of Design Thinking methods
• Greater awareness of social issues
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
• Project management and problem solving skills
• Communication and presentation skills
• An action-oriented entrepreneurial mindset

Outputs

By the end of the program, student teams have launched a “product” that addresses an issue of social importance in their community.

Students fund their project, using their own capital, investor funding or customer presales, and deliver the finished product by the end of the year.

They finish the year with a report back to customers, investors and colleagues about the outcomes from their social enterprise activity.
