The Boston Celtics have been off to a very hot start compared to last year's start. At the making of this article (11/17) they are 12-3. The players have been looking unstoppable with their defense and their offense. They are the highest scoring team in the league and have been doing fantastic on the defensive end.
“I think they would easily be able to make it back to the finals due to them already showing they are a team that plays hard every single minute of the game and never gives up, with the Jays (Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown) being very large factors in the c’s offense,” James Burke a senior at Burlington High School said.
The Celtics have got a new head coach after they had to suspend their head coach for “violation of the teams code of conduct.” They have hired the assistant manager Joe Mezzula to be their new interim head coach.
“I think with Joe Mazullataking over the coaching duties in such an unexpected matter will mean there is not a lot of change”, Connor Herrera, a senior at BHS, said. “Joe has the ability to make minor changes but I don't see him making any drastic changes especially with the team's success last year.”
Jason Tatum has not changed from last year at all. He ended the year off hot and came back even hotter. He is averaging 32.1 points per game which is an all time high for him. He has also passed Larry Bird in most points scored by a Celtic in 8 games. And the team has been averaging more points scored than any Celtics team in history.
“Jason Tatum will be a candidate for MVP if he stays healthy, but obviously the MVP awards are very political so I can't say for sure he will win,” Herrera said.
