Dear Ms. Eshelman,
My reviews on Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and the Celtics demonstrates how my interviewing skills have improved throughout the year as I did not ask questions that would in return have a one word response like “yes” or “no”. In addition, I asked questions that were relevant to each topic and that would get a full answer and give someone’s full opinion.
The project demonstrates my storytelling and reporting skills because for my first review I had to avoid spoilers for a movie which is a lot harder than it seems, especially when you are reviewing a new movie and raving about how good it is. Plus, when talking about the Era Tour I had freedom to talk about whatever I wanted and my experience at the show.
It demonstrated my understanding of journalism ethics because I completely avoided spoilers for Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse and I did not hate on anyone (Joe Alwyn or Matty Healy).
The new Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse came out in theaters June 2. It was so good and better than the first movie.
“I really enjoyed the movie, it really had me in a roller coaster of emotions, feelings, etc,” Naya Ulysse, BHS freshman, said.
Personally, I did not like Gwen Stacy in this film. She just really annoyed me and her characterization in this movie completely ruined her compared to the first movie. She kept unintentionally hurting Miles, which kept making me mad as a viewer.
The animation was so good. When Gwen Stacy went upside down and the camera turned with her, it was one of the coolest things I’ve seen in an animated film. Miles’ hair looked so realistic and the way the camera moved when Miguel crawled after Miles made the scene look so much better.
The first movie changed the style for 3D animation in many different animated movies. In the second film the animation style is even better. It took the animators about three years just to animate the character Spider-Punk.
I would recommend this movie to everyone. The movie is so good that regardless of a person's likes or dislikes, they will enjoy this movie.

On March 17, Taylor Swift started her Eras Tour. I went on May 21 at Gillette Stadium. This is the best concert I have ever been to in my life. Everything was amazing from the set up to the dancers and just the overall atmosphere of the show.
She performs nine out of her ten eras playing 44 songs each night, two of them being “surprise songs” (different songs she plays each night). She has about 90 seconds to change outfits for each era and every time it has you on the edge of your seat, even if you knew which era was next.
Some of my favorite performances were during the folklore part of the show when she performed “illicit affairs” and my favorite song “my tears ricochet”. My favorite era was definitely the reputation era performances because it is probably when everyone in the audience has the most energy. And her vocals during these songs especially during “Don’t Blame Me” are so good.
“She is a great singer and performer, I would go to it 100 more times if I could,” Briana Thomas, BHS freshman, said. “My favorite song was ‘Bad Blood’ because of the effect and fire she had.”
I sat in section 113 and I had an amazing view of the stage. Although my section was not the loudest, I carried my section, especially during the evermore era. I even lost my voice for the whole week after the show.
The Eras Tour is definitely her best concert, just beating the Reputation Stadium Tour. Although I have been to very few concerts and am very biased, Taylor puts on the best show. Ever since I first saw her in 2015 at the 1989 World Tour, she has never failed to be amazing.
If you could get tickets, I would recommend this concert to anyone. Even people who are not fans of Taylor because her tours turn people into fans. I am very excited to see where she goes after this tour, especially after she finishes releasing her re-recordings.

On May 29, the Boston Celtics lost their final playoff game to the Miami Heat. The Celtics had been doing very well making it to the last round before finals.
Game 7, Celtics were tied with Miami 3-3. At a home game they inevitably lost to Miami.
“I think the Celtics had a problem with choking the whole postseason. This was bound to happen even if we went to the finals.” Roy Kanyike, BHS freshman, said.
This was supposed to be an amazing comeback with the Celtics going 3-3 and were expected to be the first team to ever be 4-3.
The Celtics could have played better defense since it was fairly ineffective from stopping Miami from getting points. Plus, this is the new coach’s first time coaching a major league basketball team. So it affected the team.
Next season, the Celtics could definitely practice more defense and jump shots, because a lot of their shots did not go in. The other team also got a lot of baskets because their defense was not very good.
