Thanksgiving is a Time to Spend Time With Family

Various Thanksgiving events draw excitement, whether it’s watching football games, thanksgiving dinner, seeing family, or thanksgiving parade, but seeing family was the overwhelming answer.
“My favorite part of Thanksgiving is seeing family I haven’t seen in a long time,” Matty Gray, a Freshman at BHS, said.
While Thanksgiving dinner is spectacular and watching the football games is fun, there is nothing better than hanging out with family and catching up. Like Matty Gray, Thanksgiving is a time to see family you rarely see. And these times should not be taken for granted.
“I like to see my family for Thanksgiving because I don’t get to see them very often, and it’s good to catch up and talk,” Matty said.
Thanksgiving attractions are always better with family. Whether it's talking at Thanksgiving dinner or watching a sporting event, everything's better with family. Especially because Thanksgiving is a time where we show thanks to the ones that help and support us. And there is nobody who cares for you more than family.
”My favorite part of Thanksgiving is meeting my family because I have a lot of family that comes from all across the world so, I think seeing them on that day is really special,” Isabella Moreta, freshman, said.
Isabella adds that there isn’t anything more exciting than seeing her loved ones. For some people, holidays are the only times they see their family. Sitting around the dinner table on Thanksgiving is so special because it is a time Thanksgiving is a time to show thanks and gratitude to the ones who love and care for you. And the best people to do this with is your family.
“We eat and my family is all Hispanic so we do a lot of dances revolving around our culture on that day, we play video games, we watch any games that are happening, and we go outside for a walk,” Isabella said.
Thanksgiving is also a great time to continue family traditions. Such as Isabella’s tradition of dancing and celebrating her culture. You can always have a great turkey dinner. But thanksgiving is one of the few days family can get together and spend quality time together. And this is why seeing family on Thanksgiving is what most people look forward to the most.
