Dear Ms. Eshelman,

My final project demonstrates my interviewing skills because I had to email the coach of the boys lacrosse team to try and understand the game and get captions. My project demonstrates my understanding of newsworthiness because the game that I went to was good for human interest and the timing was well oriented. Despite my personal disinterest in lacrisse, I always kept professional and never explained my frustration of standing in the rain. It was one of their last games so people were interested and maybe wanted to know what was happening. My final project demonstrates my storytelling and reporting skills because my photo series is a good representation of how the game was going, what was happening, things like that. My project demonstrates my understanding of journalistic ethics because there is no conflict of interest, I had consent, and there are no pictures that any of the players would be embarrassed to have on the website.
