Homecoming is back! It has been many years since BHS has had its last homecoming. Thanks to the senior class, BHS had its 2022 homecoming on November 10.
“The senior class wanted to have it and this was the day they settled on.” Mr. Tota, BHS science teacher said.
Though it is their last year, seniors are thrilled with getting the chance to get a homecoming.
“I am excited for the homecoming, even if it is my last year of high school. I am happy we started this new tradition.” Julianne Pascale, BHS senior said.
Even freshmen were thrilled to get a homecoming dance their first year.
“I feel very excited about the first homecoming! It’s the first one that BHS has had in years so I think that this year is a good year for it, especially coming out of the pandemic.” Alexis Kasekende, BHS freshman said.
The dance was held in the school cafeteria with all four grades. There were many things that engaged the students and most had a great time.
“Hanging out with friends, dancing, pizza, and obviously watching Mr Sweeney's dance moves.” Mr. Tota said.
Students were looking forward to seeing their friends and just having fun in general, and the dance did not disappoint.
“I’m most excited about being with my friends for the night, music, dancing, and just having fun. It’s my first homecoming since I’m a freshman so I’m not sure what to expect, but I just can’t wait to go out and have a good night!” Alexis said.
Students were very grateful that they will have a great time and made memories they will be able to take with them to college.
“I am excited to be starting a new tradition and to make new memories at hoco” Julianne said.
Freshmen had very high hopes for their first homecoming, especially after their middle school Final Fling.
“I think homecoming will give students the ideal high school experience. I think everyone is excited for homecoming as soon as they get to high school, and for some people this might be their first homecoming and it will be a great way to start or end their high school experience.” Alexis said.
