👶 Look Closer: The Children's Society
This week, police in England and Wales are raising awareness about child exploitation, specifically how criminals use taxis and private hire vehicles to pick up and drop off children.
Read more here about what to look out for and what to do if you spot the signs.
Remember: Children and teenagers under 18 can only travel with an accompanying adult. Drivers providing services via the Bolt Platform may reject an order requested by someone under 18. For detailed guidance on handling situations involving minors, especially where child safety concerns arise, drivers should refer to Bolt’s comprehensive Child Safety Policy found here. This policy outlines the principles and discretionary aspects that support drivers in making informed decisions for child welfare.

☀️ Warm weather
Following the recent hot weather we have been experiencing, and with more to come, it’s important to stay safe and comfortable while driving. Here are a few key tips to help you manage the heat and keep your vehicle in top condition.
Take care of yourself:
Take regular breaks to rest and cool down.
Carry plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout your shift.
Don’t ignore fatigue, if you feel drowsy, tired or unwell, it’s best to stop driving until you feel better.
Look after your vehicle
Check coolant, water, and oil levels regularly to avoid overheating.
Ensure your windscreen washer fluid is topped up and working correctly.
Check tyre pressure often, properly inflated tyres are crucial for safe driving in hot weather.
Stay alert
Be aware that glare from the sun can reduce visibility and use sunglasses or a sun visor.
Take care of the increased number of pedestrians and cyclists making the most of the warm weather.
Taking a few simple precautions can help ensure a smooth and safe ride for you and your passengers
🚾 Accessing facilities and the Toilet Tube Map
We know how important it is to have access to toilet facilities during your working day. Did you know that in London, there’s a handy resource called the Toilet Tube Map, showing where public toilets are available across the transport network?
We’re also keen to better understand what facilities drivers currently use or find helpful - this will be a topic of discussion at our next On the Move session in London.
