Welcome to the Bolt Driver Newsletter! Every month we will update you with the latest news, developments and changes to help you earn more, stay safe, and make the most out of your Bolt Driver App. This month’s focus will be on Manchester and the surrounding area.

We’re wrapping up our national roadshow, where we met over 550 driver partners across 16 UK cities.
We’ve heard your feedback and are working closely with our teams to improve your experience with the Bolt platform. Here’s a look at some of things we're working on:
Improving earnings for long distance trips
Removal of in-app pop-ups for confirming pricing
Improving driver airport experience
Allowing drivers to notify Bolt about unsafe pickup locations

🚐 XL Plus at Manchester Airport
We’ve just launched the XL Plus category at Manchester Airport—a new ride option designed for larger groups and passengers with extra luggage.
What is XL Plus?
XL Plus is tailored for vehicles that can carry up to 7 passengers along with their luggage comfortably. It offers higher fares than the regular XL category, making it a great opportunity for drivers with larger vehicles to maximise their income.
Who’s Eligible?
If your vehicle matches the requirements for XL Plus, you’re already part of the program! To start earning, simply accept an XL Plus ride request at Manchester Airport. Not sure if your car qualifies? Check the category requirements page here
🛡️Help Keep Vulnerable Children Safe – #LookCloser Campaign
Bolt is working with the Police to help raise awareness of the #LookCloser campaign which highlights possible risks children face such as exploitation, abuse, and being forced into crimes. Criminals may use taxis and private hire vehicles to transport vulnerable children.
What should you look out for?
Travelling at unusual hours – during school time, early in the morning or late at night.
Young passengers that appear anxious, frightened or angry.
Showing signs of neglect or displaying other behaviour that makes you worried.
What should you do?
As a driver, you can help. Stay alert, report concerns to your operator, the police or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Just remember if something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait, report it.

🕵🏻♂️ Lost-and-found guide for Manchester and surrounding areas
If you are licensed in Manchester City Council, Trafford, Oldham, Bolton, Bury, Sefton or Tameside please report the issue and drop the item at the Manchester Driver Hub.
If you are licensed in Rochdale, Wigan or Stockport please report the issue and drop the item off at your nearest Police Station.
If you are licensed in Salford, please drop the item at the licensing office, if the office is closed you can drop the item at the Manchester Driver Hub.
⚖️ Compliance reminders for all drivers
You must at all times continue to follow your licence conditions set out in your Private Hire Driver and Vehicle conditions from your licensing authority.
Please ensure that signage is clearly and correctly displayed on your vehicle, in accordance with your licensing conditions.
When waiting for a booking, avoid high footfall areas, busy venues, and hackney ranks. Compliance with road traffic orders is essential.
