Welcome to the Bolt Driver Newsletter! Every month we update you with the latest news, developments and changes to help you earn more, stay safe, and make the most out of your Bolt Driver App.
📱 Order Confirmation Screen
Over the last few months you might have noticed the order confirmation screen has had a few changes so we’ve created a guide to explain what each part of it means.
📍 Multiple Stops
Many drivers have told us that they aren’t sure how a passenger is able to add an additional destination using the Bolt app, so we’ve put together a quick guide to show how this can be done so you can show a passenger how to do so if you are asked.
Step 1) On the passenger's app, swipe up on the ride details and click "Add Stop"
Step 2) Type in the new destination. Hold and drag the six circles next to the destinations to move the order around
Step 3) Press "Confirm Route" on the passenger's app.
You will receive a notification on your Bolt Driver App once a stop has been added.
🦺 Trusted Contacts
The Bolt Safety Team currently calls drivers to determine if further assistance is needed when we receive a Ride Check or Emergency Assist notifications. However, not every call is answered, which is why Bolt has introduced Trusted Contacts as its newest safety feature.
Now available in the driver app, this feature allows you to add names and phone numbers of friends or relatives to a list of contacts who will be contacted in the case when Bolt’s Safety Team is unable to reach you when a Ride Check or Emergency Assist notification is received.
Do you need to add a Trusted Contact?
No, but it’s recommended to ensure we can reach someone if we can’t reach you.
⛔️ Birmingham - Broad Street Restrictions
We would like to make you aware of some changes to the Broad Street area being made by the city council.
Most notably the vehicle types that can use the underpass from Hagley Road into Broad Street, going forward only buses and trams are permitted to use this road.
In addition to this we would like to remind you to only stop in the designated areas that will be shown to you as the pick-up or drop off pins in the app.
Should a rider ask you to stop somewhere unsafe or illegal, please refuse as you may receive a penalty charge.
