Welcome to the Bolt Driver Newsletter! Every month we will update you with the latest news, developments and changes to help you earn more, stay safe, and make the most out of your Bolt Driver App. This month’s focus will be on Bristol and the surrounding area.
🚗 How do I change my vehicle?
Go to the Settings tab and click the Vehicle icon
Enter your new car registration number (number plate) and press Continue
Select all options applicable to your vehicle (eg. Toyota Prius, White, 2017) and select Continue
Add all vehicle documents (Including permission letter, etc if renting)
Select the Add Vehicle option at the end of the car application
Your car application will be reviewed within 24 hours (Your account will be under review and you will be unable to take trips until the new car is processed)
Please note: if you are changing council, please register as a new driver and select the new licensing authority instead of changing your car.
If you’ve noticed a problem with the price of a trip, follow these steps once the trip is complete to let us know what’s wrong so we can look into it.
Once you have completed the trip, press the report button underneath the red banner
Select the problem from the list that pops up
Input what the price should be and the reason it should be different, then press confirm

🕒 What are the busiest periods in Bristol?
Friday: 6pm till midnight
Saturday: 1pm to 5pm and 9pm till midnight
Weekdays: 8am to 9am
🕵🏻♂️ Lost-and-found guide for Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire
If you are licensed in Bath or North Somerset and cannot return the lost property to your passenger, please report the issue and drop the item off at your nearest Police Station within 24 hours.
If you are licensed in Bristol or South Gloucestershire and cannot return the lost property to your passenger, please report the issue and drop the item off at our Driver Hub in Bristol.
📍 Where is the Driver Hub in Bristol?
Our Driver Hub is at Newminster House, 29 Baldwin St, Bristol BS1 1LT.
Open Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You can drop off the items on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Please be mindful of parking charges when attending
🕒 Scheduled Rides
With scheduled rides, you can unlock more earnings. Simply access the New Scheduled Requests banner on the app home screen or under the menu to view and accept available rides. Ensure that you're online by the specified time to confirm your availability, and remember to tap Start Driving as you head to the pickup location.
If plans change, you can cancel directly from your Accepted Orders list.

✈️ Airport Pick-Up Zones
When picking up passengers at the airport, please ensure that you are meeting them at the designated pick-up zones displayed in your app. These zones have been assigned in accordance with airport regulations for convenience and safety.
Why this is Important
Passenger Convenience: Passengers rely on the walking directions in the app to find you so being in the correct zone ensures a quick and easy pick-up.
Safety: Designated pick-up zones are chosen with safety in mind, reducing congestion and providing a safe area for passengers to enter your vehicle.
Compliance with Airport Regulations: Adhering to designated pick-up zones ensures that we comply with airport regulations, avoiding potential fines and disruptions.
London Luton Airport (LTN) Update
The airport has now opened a new Express Drop-Off area by the terminal entrance, there are no entry or exit barriers however a £5 charge from the airport will apply. This will be included in the upfront fare and the “Toll Road” icon will be displayed, please also be aware that this area cannot be used for picking up riders.

Please take all reasonable steps to avoid idling unnecessarily. This helps reduce environmental impact and avoids potential fines.
It is crucial that you comply with the legislation and conditions specific to Private Hire Drivers and Vehicles at all times.
