The Destroy function allows users to permanently remove inventory items from the system for compliance reasons, spoilage, mistakes, or other regulatory-approved reasons. Unlike plants, inventory destruction does not require a two-step process — it can be done directly.
Verify the item and quantity before performing destruction.
Always provide clear, detailed notes in the Comments field for regulatory compliance.
Keep a record of all destroyed inventory items for auditing and traceability.
Use the Undo option immediately if a destruction was scheduled by mistake.
Navigate to Inventory → Current Inventory.
Locate the inventory item(s) you want to destroy.
Click the arrow icon next to the item to expand its options.
Select Destroy.
The system will open a Specify Reason screen.
Select an Adjustment Type from the following:
Other
Waste
Unhealthy or Died
Infestation
Product Return
Mistake
Spoilage
Quality Control
Enter Comments explaining why the inventory item is being destroyed. (This field is required.)
Click Post to set the status of the item to Destruction Scheduled.
If a mistake was made, you can undo the destruction via:
Administration → Inventory → Undo → Destruction Notification (only works if the item has not been removed by the system yet) Otherwise, repeat the destroy process to permanently remove the item from the system.
