Free Software
As a Berkeley student, you are eligible for free software, such as Adobe or Microsoft Office. You can also get a free free anti-virus software and more. Please check the UC Berkeley Computing page for more information.
You also get storage space on box.com and Google Drive
Free Admission
You have free entrance to places like Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens, Pacific Film Archive, and the Berkeley Art Museum
If you join the Berkeley Public Library, you get free or discounted access to many places including the Aquarium of the Bay, California Academy of Sciences, Exploratorium, and so many more places. It is through the Discover & Go program. The Berkeley and Oakland public libraries also have tool-lending libraries where you can check out power drills and other tools for short-term use.
Gym Membership
All students get free access to campus Rec Sports facilities, including the RSF gym, various pools, and group exercise classes at the RSF.
Software
Software Central (UCB IST services) - assorted things for networking computers, some applications. You can get free Adobe, Microsoft Office, etc. installed on your own computer. More information click here.
Not only can you claim items, but also post to the list to get rid of unwanted items without sending them to the landfill.

Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Environmental Science - dynamic, scholarly, and up-to-date reference work. Articles cover science and beyond for an interdisciplinary perspective on the environment including social science, ethics, policy, history, and more. We also recently licensed the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Climate Science.
BBC Landmark Video Collection - BBC documentaries on the natural world, including series such as Planet Earth, Life, and Blue Planet. Includes searchable transcripts. Enjoy the documentaries in their entirety, or incorporate clips into lectures or coursework. Let me know if you have questions or feedback!
Horticulture Compendium - Reference work that compiles knowledge on horticulture crops worldwide, including fruits, vegetables, and commodity crops. We also have the Invasive Species Compendium, the Crop Protection Compendium, and the Forestry Compendium.
Covidence - Software used to manage and streamline systematic reviews. Use your berkeley.edu email when registering to access our institutional account.
