Plan 1 Masters Thesis

An eForm is available in CalCentral called Final Signature Submission. In addition to selecting an embargo on your thesis, if appropriate, you will attach the PDF of your thesis to this eForm for Graduate Division's formatting review. Once approved, the eForm will route by email to each of the listed committee members for approval ("signature"). Each committee member will simply click the link in the email and will be given the opportunity to provide their electronic approval of the student's thesis. This replaces any of the previous processes of physical signatures, scanned signatures, or other email approvals.

Doctoral Dissertations

As there are more requirements to complete the dissertation filing for doctoral students, there are some additional steps to be completed. The previously paper-based processes are now replaced with checklist items in CalCentral ("Tasks"). When you have a current term EGT, you will automatically get checklist items for the two exit surveys, which can now both be completed entirely online. 

You will now use the new eForm available in CalCentral called Final Signature Submission. In addition to selecting an embargo on your dissertation, the eForm will route by email to each of the listed committee members for approval ("signature"). Each committee member will simply click the link in the email and will be given the opportunity to provide their electronic approval of your dissertation. 

Note: Doctoral students will NOT attach the PDF of their manuscript to this eForm. The actual dissertations are still filed, electronically, through ProQuest for review and publishing.
