Media Outreach
You can send info about your new publication to the CNR communication team by filling out this Google form. They can help promote your publication on ESPM website, tweeter, and instagram. The two folks are Mathew Burciaga and Julie Gipple.

Give a Talk, Write an Article, Inspire Others!
AAAS mass media science & Engineering Fellowship. This 10-week summer program places science, engineering, and mathematics students at media organizations nationwide. Fellows use their academic training as they research, write, and report today’s headlines, sharpening their abilities to communicate complex scientific issues to the public.
Berkeley Science Review. A Berkeley student-run magazine that runs a blog as well as a semesterly print magazine.
Be A Scientist (BAS) program. Volunteer for a once-a-week, 6 week program in Berkeley-area 7th grade classrooms. They also have opportunities for those who speak Spanish!
Bay Area Scientists Inspiring Students (BASIS) program. Talk about science in local elementary schools in the Bay Area.
California Academy Night Life. Sometime opportunities exist to participate the night life! Many labs in ESPM have done that.
Clear in the Classroom. Talk to high schools about science! Does not necessarily have to be about genetic engineering. A subset of the Berkeley student-run group CLEAR.
ESPM Blog. After many, long years, we are hoping to get this started again!
International Wildlife Film Festival Labs. IWFF LABS is for filmmakers and scientists to advance ideas, tools and working methods that will address pressing environmental, wildlife and conservation issues through media.
Pub Science. Give a 30min talk about your research at Ocean View Brew Works on the first Thursday of a month! A subset of the Berkeley student-run group CLEAR.
