In partnership with our parish community, St. Barnabas School strives to deliver a first-class Catholic education that combines rigorous academics with spiritual development, guiding students on the path of Christ to become knowledgeable, moral, and compassionate servant leaders.
Friday Mass
If you plan to sit with your child at Friday Mass, we ask that they remain with you until the conclusion of both the St. Michael Prayer and the St. Thérèse Novena. After these prayers, students should be walked directly to their teacher.
First Friday Buddy Mass
For First Friday Buddy Masses (the first Friday of every month), we ask that all students sit with their assigned buddy during the liturgy. This helps strengthen our faith community, gives older students the chance to model reverence and participation, and creates a special bond between our younger and older Blazers. Students should wear their "Joyful in Spirit, United in Faith" shirts.
Homework Requests for Absences
Requests for homework should be made when reporting an absence, or no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day your child is absent. Work will be ready for pickup after 2:00 p.m., if not being sent home with a sibling. Please make this request to both your child’s teacher and the school office at office@barnabasohio.org so we can ensure everything is prepared.
Vacations
When students miss school for family vacations, all missed work will be given upon their return. Students are responsible for making up all work missed. Teachers will provide support, but it is the student’s responsibility to put in the extra time and effort to complete them. A reasonable amount of time for make-up work is equal to the number of days absent.
🍂🌻 Our Fall Fundraiser is in full swing! Catalogs went home with students this week, and emails from our fundraising company were sent out last week with your URL.
This is the perfect chance to stock up on festive fall mums, candles, and more—all while supporting our school! 🍂✨
💥 Don’t forget: Students can earn fun prizes not only from Mumkin, but also from Mr. Seislove himself—like a dress down day, silly stringing him, or even a special class lunch! 🎉

Starting Thursday, September 18th, JH Game Club will meet every Thursday after school until 4:05 PM.

As part of the Mighty Vincent Project—an annual week of meaningful service in honor of Vincent William Baran—we’re partnering with St. Herman House to serve dinner on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
We are looking for volunteers of all ages to help shop for ingredients, prepare food, and assist in the kitchen.
Location: St. Herman House, 4410 Franklin Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44113
Time: Dinner service begins at 5:00 PM
Plus—it’s a great opportunity to earn service hours, open to students, families, and parishioners alike! Contact Lauren Loboda, our service project point person, with any questions.
Join us for a special First Responders Mass on Saturday, September 27 at 4:30 p.m. in the church as we honor the men and women who selflessly serve and protect our communities. We will reflect on the strength, courage, and dedication of our first responders, asking God to bless and protect them in their vital work.
A Touch-a-Truck will be available immediately following Mass, and families and children are invited to enjoy an up-close look at emergency vehicles from our local fire, police, and EMS departments. Join us afterward in the Learning Lodge for refreshments and fellowship.
