Laura Walter - After 10 years at St. Barnabas, Mrs. Walter is stepping away from her role as STEM Teacher here at St. Barnabas. She has been an integral part of building and strengthening our STEM program, and her impact will be felt for years to come. Through her dedication, creativity, and passion for inspiring students, she helped create a learning environment where curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving could truly thrive. Mrs. Walter's commitment to our students and her vision for STEM education have played a vital role in shaping the program into what it is today. While we will greatly miss her presence, we are deeply grateful for all she has contributed to our school community and wish her the very best in this next chapter.
Mrs. DiPronio - After 11 years of dedicated service at St. Barnabas School, Mrs. DiPronio will be moving on to her next chapter. She has been an exceptional member of our 3rd-grade team, known for her deep knowledge, expertise, and commitment to academic excellence. She brought thoughtfulness, experience, and a true passion for education to everything she does, leaving a lasting impact on both her students and colleagues. While we will miss her presence in our classrooms, we are so happy for her as she begins this new chapter, spending more time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Travaglianti - For 14 years, Mrs. Travaglianti has been a cornerstone of our 1st-grade program, helping shape the earliest and most important steps of our students’ academic journey. Her dedication to building strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and confidence has left a lasting mark on countless young learners. We are deeply grateful for the years she has shared with our school community and wish her all the best in this next chapter.
Mrs. Arnold - Mrs. Arnold has been a valued member of our 4th-grade team for 6 years, and we are grateful for the time, energy, and dedication she has shared with our students. Mrs. Arnold is moving into a part-time academic support role next year at St. Barnabas School. While she will not be serving as a full-time homeroom teacher, we are grateful that she will continue to be part of our school community in this new capacity. We look forward to the ways she will continue to support our students and staff.
Miss Piazza - Miss Piazza will be stepping into the open 3rd-grade teaching position for the upcoming school year. She expressed a strong interest in the opportunity, and we are excited to see her take on this new role. Miss Piazza brings a genuine commitment to growth, both in refining her own teaching practice and in the way she supports and challenges her students in the classroom. What makes this transition especially meaningful is that 3rd grade is where she completed her student teaching. It’s a full-circle moment, and she is both excited and grateful for the opportunity to return to this grade level in a new capacity.
Mrs. Schweninger will be moving back to Kindergarten next year. After a successful year, she shared her desire to return to the classroom and invest more directly in the day-to-day work of teaching, supporting, and forming students. Her heart for young learners, her experience, and her love for the classroom make this a meaningful transition. With Mrs. Arnold stepping into the part-time Academic Support role and Miss Piazza moving into the 3rd-grade teaching position, the opportunity opened for Mrs. Schweninger to return to a place where her gifts can shine in a different but equally important way. We are excited for Mrs. Schweninger as she returns to Kindergarten and for the impact she will continue to have on our students and school community.
