Art club will be starting soon! Art Club is a time for students who would like to get together and explore art. Students will do a variety of projects, including a clay sculpture. There are 2 groups, Grades 3-5 will meet on the listed Wednesdays after school until 4pm. Grades 6-8 will meet on the listed Mondays after school until 4 pm. We meet about twice a month. The dates listed are for the first semester. More dates will be listed near the end of the first semester. A fee of $25 will be charged to your facts account for the year. St. Barnabas has joined a challenge with other schools to pray the most prayers between Sept 22-Oct 31!

Our annual Women’s Retreat is almost here! Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 1. Last year, 182 women came together in faith, fellowship, and renewal. It was a powerful reminder that when we gather as sisters in Christ, amazing things happen.
Don’t miss this year’s parish retreat, Joy In Unity! Take time away to rest, pray, and grow closer to the Lord with your sisters in Christ. It’s a wonderful opportunity for moms to recharge and connect spiritually.

October is the month of the Holy Rosary! Pope Paul V tells us that the rosary is a treasure of graces, and numerous miracles of faith have come through praying the rosary. Campus Ministry invites you to come pray for your child during the month of October.
Every Monday during the month of October we will pray the rosary at 2:15pm in the church, during adoration. Please join us before pick up to pray for our children!
If you aren't able to make it, we invite you to find a rosary on Hallow to pray and join us in spirit!

Yearbooks - The 2024-2025 St. Barnabas School yearbooks have arrived! We have a few extra copies available! If you would like to order one, please email mgarey@barnabasohio.org. Your FACTS account will be charged $30. First-come, first-served!
Youth Choir - All parish students in Grades 3–8. When? Wednesdays after school, 2:45–3:30 PM First Practice: Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Click here to sign up

Friday Mass
If you plan to sit with your child at Friday Mass, we ask that they remain with you until the conclusion of both the St. Michael Prayer and the St. Thérèse Novena. After these prayers, students should be walked directly to their teacher.
First Friday Buddy Mass
For First Friday Buddy Masses (the first Friday of every month), we ask that all students sit with their assigned buddy during the liturgy. This helps strengthen our faith community, gives older students the chance to model reverence and participation, and creates a special bond between our younger and older Blazers. Students should wear their "Joyful in Spirit, United in Faith" shirts.
Homework Requests for Absences
Requests for homework should be made when reporting an absence, or no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day your child is absent. Work will be ready for pickup after 2:00 p.m., if not being sent home with a sibling. Please make this request to both your child’s teacher and the school office at office@barnabasohio.org so we can ensure everything is prepared.
Vacations
When students miss school for family vacations, all missed work will be given upon their return. Students are responsible for making up all work missed. Teachers will provide support, but it is the student’s responsibility to put in the extra time and effort to complete them. A reasonable amount of time for make-up work is equal to the number of days absent.

The Grateful Goodies Gang is a way to show our gratitude for the passion our teachers and staff pour into their work and our kiddos every single day! Once a month we surprise these hard workers with a "goodie!" This can be simple like a "Thanks a Lotto" lotto ticket or more elaborate like a "Taco Bout Appreciation" lunch! Our SBS staff are always grateful for the goodie!
