This Lent, join us in the Hallow prayer series The Miracle Hunters, following Paul & Mia as they seek to discover memorable miracle stories to share with Leo, their new friend on the basketball team who is learning about the faith.
Each day of the challenge welcomes inspiration through real miracle stories from around the world, special guests, and opportunities for families to unite in prayer this Lent.
Don’t forget — each student receives 5 logins that can be used on up to 5 devices.
As we enter the holy season of Lent, we are called to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. One meaningful way to live out almsgiving this year is by supporting our St. Vincent de Paul Lenten Food Drive, beginning February 23 through March 6.
Donations of non-perishable food items will directly benefit local families in need within our community. Your generosity helps provide nourishment, dignity, and hope to those facing food insecurity during this sacred season.
Donations can be left in the Breezeway.
Please note that during Lent, Student Council will not be hosting the usual $1 Dress Down Days. In keeping with the spirit of the season, almsgiving is meant to be offered without expecting something in return. Thank you for helping us live out the true meaning of Lent through generosity and service.

Thank you to everyone who has turned in the EdChoice renewal applications. If you have not yet done so, we kindly request that you complete the renewal paperwork as soon as possible. Our goal is to get the renewals all uploaded into the State portal by the end of February.
The process is simple:
Complete one renewal application per child: EdChoice Renewal Form FY27
Print and sign the application -- single sided only please
Provide a copy of a current utility bill, less than 90 days old, which shows both matching service and mailing addresses. (Don't cut off the payment coupon.)
Paper clip it all together -- no staples please
We will be available during office hours for paperwork drop-off/verification, and parents can stop by and ask any tuition or financial aid questions. Office hours are currently scheduled:
Tuesday, March 3rd from 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Friday, March 6th from 10:00am -1:00pm
Wednesday, March 11th from 10:00am - 1:00pm
Thursday, March 12th from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Prospective Kindergarten Parents:
If your child will be enrolling in Kindergarten next year, you will need a New Student application. The Admissions Office will send that info out at a later date with the list of required documentation. Kindergarten EdChoice applications will not be accepted until the Kindergarten screening time in the Spring.
If you are currently not participating in EdChoice but would like to, it's not too late to receive scholarship dollars for this current school year. Just ask!
Reminder: Once you are approved for EdChoice, you do not need to redo your income verification. You get to keep that FPL% for the duration. However, please reach out if you have had either of the following occur:
Your adjusted gross income has decreased from the initial tax year you were awarded or
You welcomed an addition to your household in 2025

Cub Pack 575: Open to all kids in K–5th grade
Dress Down Days: If your student has a dress-down day on a scheduled PE day, please ensure they wear athletic shoes.
Athletic Shoes: For your child's safety, please have them wear athletic shoes to PE. Thank you!
Art Club: Art club grade 6 through eight will be meeting on Monday, February 23, March 9, March 30, April 13, April 27, and May 11. Art club grades three through five will be meeting on Wednesdays starting with February 18, March 4, March 18, April 1, April 22, and May 6. Looking forward to another great semester!
Recess Reminder: As the temperatures continue to fluctuate, we kindly remind families to send students to school each day with a warm coat, hat, and gloves. Please note that sweatshirts do not count as coats during the colder months.
We plan to enjoy outdoor recess as often as weather safely allows, because fresh air and movement are so important for our students. We will remain indoors on days when it is raining or when the feels-like temperature is below 20°F
Spam Emails - Please be aware that phishing emails are being sent that appear to come from Fr. James or Mr. Seislove, asking for favors or requesting a text response. These messages are not legitimate. Always check the "from" email address carefully before replying, and do not respond to any suspicious requests. Stay cautious and report anything unusual.
Mass Reminders:
If you plan to sit with your child at Friday Mass, we ask that they remain with you until the conclusion of both the St. Michael Prayer and the St. Thérèse Novena. After these prayers, students should be walked directly to their teacher. For First Friday Buddy Masses (the first Friday of every month), we ask that all students sit with their assigned buddy during the liturgy. Students should wear their "Joyful in Spirit, United in Faith" shirts.
Homework Requests for Absences
Requests for homework should be made when reporting an absence, or no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day your child is absent. Work will be ready for pickup after 2:00 p.m., if not being sent home with a sibling. Please make this request to both your child’s teacher and the school office at office@barnabasohio.org so we can ensure everything is prepared.

Please return all uniforms in a bag clearly labeled with the ATHLETE’S NAME on or inside the bag to ensure accurate tracking.
