This will help keep traffic moving smoothly and allow us to have a pre-printed visitor badge ready for you when you arrive. The PTU is now seeking 2026–2027 Room Parent Volunteers. If you’re interested, please apply by Friday, September 4th so we can finalize assignments and support our teachers for the year.
We aim to give as many families as possible the opportunity to serve as Room Parents and appreciate your understanding if you are not selected this school year.
Join us for the St. Barnabas PTU Movie Night on Friday, August 28th at the campus pavilion for a special showing of Hoppers! Doors open at 7 pm and the movie starts at 8:30 pm. Please RSVP so we know how many families will be joining us.
4 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR MOVIE NIGHT
We're looking for 4 parent volunteers to lend a hand at Movie Night on Friday, August 28 from 6:30 PM to 9:30/10:00 PM. Volunteers will help with concessions and selling 50/50 and Prize Basket tickets throughout the evening.
Come enjoy Movie Night while helping make the evening a success for our St. Barnabas families!
We're kicking off the new school year with a Back-to-School Spirit Week from August 31st to September 4th.
Monday, students will be able to wear their favorite sports jerseys and team shirts.
Tuesday keeps the summer vibes going with Hawaiian shirts and leis.
Wednesday gets wacky as we wear inside-out, mismatched clothes -- funky hairstyles encouraged!
Thursday is for your favorite color, and finally,
Friday the whole school will be wearing the Saint Barnabas 2026-2027 Spirit Shirt for our Retreat Day to wrap up the week!
All of these days will be uniform bottoms except Wacky Wednesday and Retreat Day (PE bottoms). We hope everyone enjoys the fun!
Mark your calendars and get ready to say "cheese!" Picture Day is Thursday, September 10.
Students should come dressed in Picture Day attire. The dress code for Picture Day is dress-up attire. Athletic shoes, athletic shorts, T-shirts, jeans, tank tops, and spaghetti straps are not permitted. We can't wait to see everyone's smiles!
Students who completed their entire Bingo board have earned a Dress Down Day on Tuesday, September 8!
To participate, students must turn in their COMPLETED Bingo board to their homeroom teacher.

We are excited to welcome back the St. Barnabas Children’s Choir! The choir is open to all parish students in grades 3–8 and will sing primarily at our Friday school Masses, along with several Sunday Masses throughout the year.
Rehearsals will be held on select Wednesdays after school from 2:45–3:30 PM, with our first rehearsal on Wednesday, September 9. A full fall rehearsal schedule will be shared with families after signing up.

Cafeteria Lunch Accounts:
If you would like your child to purchase lunch or buy à la carte items to supplement what was brought from home, he/she will need to have funds available on their cafeteria prepay account, as our cafeteria is cashless. Funds can be added by logging into the FACTS Family Portal and clicking on the financial tab. The lunch accounts are treated like a bank debit card, so they should always maintain a positive balance. Every Sunday, FACTS automatically sends an email reminder if your account is getting low or if it is in a negative balance situation. Please respond by promptly logging in and depositing a sufficient amount to cover any past-due balance and adding funds for near-term needs. Accounts with a negative balance exceeding $40 will be subject to a weekly $15 overdraft fee billed to the family incidentals account.
EdChoice Acceptance Letters
Thank you to everyone who has returned their EdChoice Acceptance Letters. If you have not yet done so, please fill them out, sign and return to the school office by this coming Monday. You can place it in an envelope, send it in your child's backpack then ask them to hand it to their homeroom teacher. If you did not receive your letter or have misplaced it, you can fill out a blank form and return: EdChoice Blank Acceptance Form 26 27.

Complete either form by September 4th, and you’ll be entered to win our raffle prize - a Stanley backpack cooler, two tumblers, and four beach towels! PTU Meeting September 3, 2026
Join us to connect with fellow parents and teachers, share ideas and be part of what's happening at St. Barnabas this school year. The first PTU of the school year will be on Thursday, September 3rd at 6pm in the Learning Lodge and we hope to see you there.
Fall is just around the corner and so is the Mumkin Fundraiser! Sales will run September 1-14, with mums delivered to school on September 25.

The Grateful Goodies Gang is a fun and thoughtful way to show appreciation for the passion our teachers and staff pour into St. Barnabas and our children every day. Once a month, volunteers surprise the SBS team with a special "goodie" - anything from a simple "Thanks a Lotto" lottery ticket to a "Favorite Snacks" bar.
The new school year is a blank slate, and we need volunteers to help fill the calendar, especially for September. Sign up individually or with a group of friends and make your month as simple or creative as you'd like. Our teachers and staff are always grateful for the gesture! Sign up HERE.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Parents, join us for a Welcome Picnic on Friday, August 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the Pavilion on the St. Barnabas Campus.
This gathering, hosted by our PTU, is a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow Pre-K and Kindergarten families, build new connections, and learn more about the St. Barnabas community. Parents of older St. Barnabas students will be available to share their experiences and answer questions about school life, programs, and what to expect in the years ahead.
Dinner will be provided and will include hot dogs, chips, water, and popsicles.

Extended Day: St. Barnabas School is looking for caring, dependable individuals to join our Extended Day team! This is a part-time, hourly position with flexible hours Monday through Friday from 3:00–6:00 PM when school is in session. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and will report to the Extended Day Coordinator. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment for students, supervising children, and assisting with homework, crafts, and indoor and outdoor play. Virtus training and a background check are required, or applicants must be willing to complete both.
