PTU Board Opportunities

Our PTU exists because of parents like you. Each role helps support our students, strengthen our school, and build our community. You don’t need special experience — just a willingness to be involved. Every role is supported by a team!  Your involvement helps strengthen our school and community!

President - Do you enjoy helping lead, encouraging others, and seeing the big picture?

What you’d do:

• Help guide the PTU and run meetings

• Work with the principal and school leadership

• Support board members and committees

• Help keep things organized and moving forward

Vice President - Do you like being involved and helping where needed?

What you’d do:

• Support the President

• Help coordinate programs and events

• Step in when the President is unavailable

Recording Secretary - Do you like being organized and like keeping things clear?

What you’d do:

• Take simple notes at meetings

• Help share updates with the board

• Keep contact information organized

Corresponding Secretary - Do you enjoy communication and helping people feel appreciated?

What you’d do:

• Send emails, thank-you notes, and PTU communications

• Help recognize important moments in our school community

Treasurer - Do you like being organized and are comfortable managing details?

What you’d do:

• Track PTU funds

• Make deposits and payments

• Share simple budget updates

The Grateful Goodies Gang is a way to show our gratitude for the passion our teachers and staff pour into their work and our kiddos every single day!    Once a month we surprise these hard workers with a "goodie!"  This can be simple like a "Thanks a Lotto" lotto ticket or  more elaborate like a "Taco Bout Appreciation" lunch!   Our SBS staff are always grateful for the goodie!
