Whether you have an hour to give, want to help with a favorite event, or are ready to take the lead, there's a place for you in the PTU. Find an opportunity that fits your interests, talents and availability.
Stay connected to PTU happenings.
Parents and teachers are always welcome to attend monthly PTU meetings. Join us to connect with fellow parents, share ideas and be part of what's happening at St. Barnabas this school year.
Lowest commitment
For parents who want to help occasionally without owning an entire event. Think setup/cleanup, donating supplies, helping during an activity, etc.
One event or program
For someone who thinks, "I love the Gingerbread House event - I'd help with that."
Many PTU events need teams of volunteers before, during or after the event.
Here are a few examples of events that need helpers and how you could help.
Mum Sale
Load & unload flowers, organize orders, assist with order pickup, etc.
Santa's Workshop
Help children shop gift items, assist with gift bagging, item restocking, etc.
Donuts with Grown-ups
Setup, greet students and guests, serve treats and drinks, etc.
Field Day
Setup event areas, oversee games, assist with hotdog lunch, etc.
Event Chair Opportunities
Ready to take a bigger role? Event and program chairs help organize a specific PTU initiative with support from the PTU Board and fellow volunteers.
This individual helps connect families with meaningful opportunities to get involved! The Volunteer Coordinator manages the PTU volunteer network, recruits volunteers for school events and activities, and ensures volunteers have the information and support they need to make each event a success.
If one of these chair opportunities resonates with you or you'd like more information, please email the PTU directly.
