As we prepare for the All-School Retreat, we’ll be providing shirts for all students. The deadline is Monday, August 11.
Please let us know your child’s shirt size so we can have theirs ready in time!

We’re excited to welcome all students and families to our Meet & Greet Open House on Sunday, August 17, from 4:00–5:30 PM.
This event offers a wonderful opportunity for both parents and students to meet their teacher, see the classroom, drop off school supplies, visit the cafeteria, and drop off medications with the school nurse.
Following the Open House, we invite everyone to join us for Mass at 5:30 PM. Immediately after Mass, stay for a Welcome Address from Principal Seislove, live music, and food trucks from 6:30–9:00 PM. It’s a fun and meaningful way to kick off the school year, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Please bring Medication, Administer of Medication at School Form, and Allergy or Asthma Action Plan form to Meet and Greet if your child will require medication at school. Please attach a picture of the student to the appropriate forms. Both doctor and parent signatures are required for all medication forms. Thank you, and we look forward to a healthy new start of the school year!

August 1st through August 14th is Ohio’s Tax-Free Holiday! If you haven’t purchased your school supplies yet, this is a great time to stock up and save. Qualifying items like clothing, school supplies, and instructional materials will be exempt from sales tax. Don’t miss this opportunity to prepare for the school year while keeping more money in your pocket!
All parents/guardians will be required to review and sign off on their child's enrollment packet, which includes acknowledgment of the updated 2025-2026 K-8 Student Handbook, Pre-K and Preschool Handbook, and Dress Code Policy. This is due by the first day of school for all Preschool and Pre-K students. Due by August 19 for K-8 students. To access the forms:

The online enrollment system will open with a link to the enrollment packet for each student. If you completed this information last year, the process will be quick, as most information will already be pre-populated for your family. Your information will be saved if you need to stop and come back later.

📚✏️ Summer reading and math assignments for grades K–8 are available! Some grade levels have specific books to read and math skills to practice, while others include more general expectations and fun activities to complete over the summer.
Spending just a little time each day on reading and math helps keep young minds active, builds strong habits, and makes the back-to-school transition smoother. Whether it’s a chapter before bed, a picture book at the park, or a few math problems after lunch — every bit counts!

Tuition Invoices - 2025-2026 tuition amounts have been posted to your FACTS account. These amounts reflect DTA, EdChoice Scholarships, and potential Angel Scholarship Awards. While the Angel Scholarship amounts are still pending final approval from the Diocese (expected in September), we do not anticipate significant changes.
EdChoice Scholarship
The State of Ohio has begun mailing EdChoice Scholarship acceptance letters to all new and renewal families. As part of the process, we are required to have a signed copy of this letter on file in the school office before we can officially accept the award and begin receiving monthly reimbursements.
What to d o when your letter arrives:
Sign the letter
Place it in an envelope marked “EdChoice”
Drop it off at either the school office
Please note: We are not permitted to accept electronic copies.

We strongly encourage all families to take advantage of this program. Every child in grades K-12 qualifies regardless of household income. You can still apply for the upcoming school year.
Angel Scholarship Fund - the Diocese has extended the application deadline to August 15th. Here is the link if you have not yet applied: Angel Scholarship Application 25/26. Please note: one application per child (grades K-8), and you must list your family's exact 2024 Adjusted Gross Income on the form (Federal 1040 - Line 11). If parents file separately, add the two tax returns together and enter the total.
Cafeteria Prepay Balances -- have been rolled over for the upcoming school year and can be viewed in the family portal.

2025-2026 Extended Day Registration is NOW open - If your child(ren) plans to utilize our Extended Day or Little Blazer Care, please complete the Registration Form.
Extended Day for grades K-8 will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Little Blazer Extended Day will open with regular hours of 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Not getting the Blazer Blast anymore? If someone you know isn’t receiving the Blazer Blast, they may have accidentally unsubscribed. They can resubscribe by finding a past Blazer Blast email and using the resubscribe link at the bottom, or they can visit the St. Barnabas website or contact the school office for assistance.
Spam Emails: Please be aware that phishing emails are being sent that appear to come from Fr. James or Mr. Seislove, asking for favors or requesting a text response. These messages are not legitimate. Always check the "from" email address carefully before replying, and do not respond to any suspicious requests. Stay cautious and report anything unusual.
Youth Choir Signup: The Barnabas Church Choir sings primarily at school Masses on Fridays at 8:30 am, but also for intermittent 10:30 am Masses. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays after school in the church. To sign up for the St. Barnabas Children's Choir choir, please fill out the form.
