Celebrating a New Chapter in Academic Excellence!
We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Katie Schweninger has been named our new Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Achievement at St. Barnabas School! With 11 years of dedicated service as a teacher in our school, Mrs. Schweninger brings a deep understanding of our mission, students, and staff to this important leadership role.
A faith-filled leader and respected educator, Mrs. Schweninger successfully completed the Aspiring Leaders Program through the Diocese of Cleveland during the 2023â2024 school year, further preparing her to step into this next chapter of service to our school community.
In her new role, Mrs. Schweninger will collaborate closely with teachers to strengthen instructional practices, align curriculum across grade levels, and keep student achievement at the heart of all we do. Her leadership will help ensure that every Blazer is supported in reaching their God-given potentialâacademically, spiritually, and personally.
While this new position broadens our leadership focus, technology integration will continue to be a key part of our instructional vision. Mrs. Schweninger will partner with our teachers and technology team to ensure innovative tools and digital learning remain part of the St. Barnabas classroom experience.

We are thrilled to welcome Sherry Foss as our new Pre-K teacher at St. Barnabas! Mrs. Foss began her teaching career right here as a substitute teacher at St. Barnabas, and now returns with years of experience and a deep love for early childhood education.Â
She comes to us from Immaculate Heart of Mary, where she taught Kindergarten and went on to launch and lead their Pre-K program over the past eight years. A proud mother of two St. Barnabas alumni and an active parishioner, Mrs. Foss brings both professional excellence and personal passion to our Early Learning Center.Â

Morning Drop Off Reminders: Please remember that carline drop-off ends at 8:00 AM as we begin our school day promptly. Arriving on time ensures a smooth and safe start for all our students. If you are using the South Lot, please make sure to walk your student through the crosswalk. This helps ensure the safety of all our students and families. Thank you for your cooperation!

Youth Choir Signup: The Barnabas Church Choir sings primarily at school Masses on Fridays at 8:30 am, but also for intermittent 10:30 am Masses. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays after school in the church. To sign up for the St. Barnabas Children's Choir choir, please fill out the form.

St. Barnabas is excited to launch School Safe ID, a new sign-in system to enhance safety, security, and efficiency for all visitors, late arrivals, and early dismissals.
The kiosk is now live in the school office. While it works without a license now, starting Monday, April 28, all visitors will be required to present a valid driverâs license to check in.
â First-time users will scan their license
đą Youâll be prompted to add a digital badge to your phone (optional)
đ¨ď¸ All visitors will receive a printed badge while in the building
This system also improves how we log student arrivals and dismissals, keeping our attendance records more secure.
