Pro tip: Toggle the SI Session Calendar checkbox off to hide the whole department's schedule from view when you are using Google Calendar
Examples:
SIL is ill and cannot host their session at the regularly scheduled time.
The students just took a test and are unlikely to attend an SI Session right after exam day.
Examples:
On exam day, SIL wants to reschedule their afternoon session to be a morning test review session.
SIL will be out of town during a regularly scheduled session slot, and would like to schedule a make-up session.
Remember: make-up sessions are restricted to being held virtually

Review the protocols below for each type of SI Session Calendar modification.
Inform the students and professor of the cancelled session slot(s)
Complete the Session Scheduling Form once for each scheduled session slot you are cancelling.
This informs the SI Team of updates made to any existing SI Sessions on the calendar.
Find the session slot(s) on the SI Session Calendar that you want to cancel.
You can only update one session slot at a time. Repeat steps 3-4 for every individual session slot that will be cancelled.
Edit the cancelled scheduled session slot(s) on the SI Session Calendar.
Click on the event and add "❌" to the beginning of the name of the event.
Continue to host your other scheduled sessions at their respective times😎
Inform the students and professor of the rescheduled session slot(s).
Complete the Session Scheduling Form once for each cancelled session slot AND once for each new session slot.
This informs the SI Team of updates made to any existing SI Sessions on the calendar.
Find the session slot(s) on the SI Session Calendar that you want to reschedule.
Update the scheduled session slot(s) event on the SI Session Calendar. Click and drag the SI Session event block to your new session slot time. Add a "➕" to the beginning of the name of the event. Then, make the following selections: "This event" --> "OK" --> "Don't send".
You can only update one session slot at a time. Repeat steps 3-4 for every individual session slot that will be rescheduled.
Update your sign-in form with your rescheduled SI Session slot(s).
Host your sessions at the rescheduled time😎

Complete the Session Scheduling Form once for each cancelled session slot series AND once for each new session slot series.
This informs the SI Team of updates made to any existing SI Sessions on the calendar.
Find the session slot(s) on the SI Session Calendar that you want to reschedule.
Modify the scheduled session slot(s) event on the SI Session Calendar. Click and drag the SI Session event block to your new session slot time. Then, make the following selections: "This and following events"--> "OK" --> "Don't send".
You can only update one session slot at a time. Repeat steps 3-4 for every session slot that is updated to the new session schedule.
Update your sign-in form with your SI Session Schedule.
Host your sessions at their newly scheduled time😎
In-person SILs
Rescheduled in-person SI Sessions will not have a room reservation secured until SI Admin completes a room request on the SIL's behalf. For rescheduled in-person sessions, modify text in the event description to include "Room TBD". SI Admin will inform you of your reserved room information once it is available.
Remember that you always have the option to host sessions virtually. Be sure to include a link to your session in the event description.
All make-up sessions must be held virtually, even if the regularly held sessions are in-person.
