All SI Leaders are classified as hourly ACC employees and, as such, are required to submit their timesheets via WorkDay on bi-monthly basis. Time sheets are due twice a month, usually:
the 15th day of the month
the last day of the month
*Exceptions include school break, holidays, and end of the semester. Check out ACC's Timesheet and Pay Cycle Schedule to see a complete overview of the pay period schedule.
If SILs do not submit your time sheet by the end of the pay period, they may experience delays in their pay schedule.
Here is a visual guide for this process of entering time into Workday.
The information above should cover everything you need to know to get your time sheet submitted, but if you would like a more detailed breakdown of the time sheet process, visit ACC's Training Resources website.
Visit the ACC Workday website
Enter your ACC employee login credentials (ACC student and employee eID are the same)
Click on the "Time" icon to access your time sheet
Enter your worked hours for each day and include a short description of what activity was completed during the worked time (i.e. lecture, session, admin time) in the "Time Block Comment" section.
Check out the photo to the left for examples of timeblock comments to include!
When recording your worked hours, make sure they are accurate and start and end on the quarter hour (i.e. 1:15, 1:30, 1:45)
When recording your worked lecture time, make sure to round up to the nearest quarter hour (i.e. attended lecture time 10:30 - 11:50am --> recorded lecture time 10:30 - 12:00pm)
Once your time is entered, click "Review" to see the summary of your worked hours in the pay period.
Complete your time sheet by clicking "Submit".
Here is a breakdown of the working hours SILs will record on their time sheets throughout the semester:
Start of Semester
HR Onboarding video - 30 minutes - new SIL only
Online SIL Resource Site training - 4 hours - new SIL only
ACC compliance training - 4.25 hours
SI Pre-Semester Training in-person - 5 hours
Throughout the Semester
Lecture Time
Synchronous & In-person courses - 3-4 hours per week*
Asynchronous courses - 2 hours per week
SI Sessions - 3 hours per week
Admin Time - 1 hour per week
Post-Session Observation Debrief - 15-30 minutes (your observer will tell you how much time to record on your time sheet)
Booster Training - refer to the SI Team's guidance if you attend any optional Booster Trainings
*Other courses may receive prior approval from the SI Manager for expanded lecture attendance
SI Leaders must contact the SI Manager in advance if they would like approval to work beyond these standard allotted hours.
If an SI Leader supports multiple sections of the same course with the same duration and modality, they are required to attend only one lecture. Students from all sections will be invited to participate in the corresponding SI session.
Time sheets may not be approved by the SI Manager if there are unapproved hours recorded on the time sheet
SI Leaders do not get paid to attend labs for their course, unless given special approval from the SI Manager
If the class meets for lecture 4 times per week, SILs will attend 2 out of the 4 lectures
SILs are responsible to complete all duties and responsibilities of their role. While SI Mentors and SI Admin will review the work of SI Leaders every pay period, SILs are responsible for managing their time to complete all weekly tasks.
Refer to the SI Leader Schedule page for best practices when building your semester schedule

Recommended best practices:
Enter worked hours daily to ensure consistent timekeeping
Click "Submit" each time you enter your hours in WorkDay
While your time sheet does not need to be submitted until the end of each pay period, it is good practice to avoid any issues at the end of the pay period or delays in your pay schedule.
Exam days:
On in-person exam days, SILs will not attend the lecture nor will they be compensated for the missed lecture time
SILs may choose to cancel a session after exam days if they anticipate it to be a no-show
Refer to the Session Scheduling page to follow protocol for any cancelled sessions
No-show sessions:
Per the no-show rule guidelines, if your session has no attendance after the first 15 minutes of the scheduled session time, you may:
End your session and record 15 minutes on your time sheet OR
Complete a no-show activity and record the full session time on your time sheet. Make sure to add a comment in your timesheet that you had a no show and what activity you used. Ex: SI Session - no show; marketing
SILs may not enter work hours when ACC is closed:
Make sure your sessions (whether online or in-person) and office hour are scheduled within the ACC Campus Hours
Note that operational hours vary according to campus
Sessions that are scheduled at the fall on holidays or when ACC is closed will be cancelled, it is the SIL's responsibility to follow the session re-scheduling protocol if they wish to host sessions at an alternate time.
