This guide details how to download a copy of Microsoft Office for free using your school account

You can now download & install office using your school account; this guide explains and directs the processes involved in getting this to work.

2. Signing in
Go to the following link https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/education/products/office
Please input your school email address and click 'Get Started' - At the next page, click "I'm a teacher".
It will then take you to a sign in page, please login with your Atlantic Academy email address and your laptop/computer password.
3. Downloading
Once logged in to the page above, click 'Install Office' in the top right corner and then select 'Office 365 apps' (Screenshot Below).
4. Installing
Run the installer and click 'Yes' when the following prompt below appears - Office should then start installing on your computer.

5. Saving Files / Troubleshooting
Once office has installed, the downloaded applications should be ready for use.
Upon opening some office software for the first time, it may ask you to login to your account. In the event of this, please login with your Atlantic Academy email address and laptop/computer password.
When saving a Microsoft Office file, it will default to the OneDrive of your school account. We recommend saving the file to your documents on the computer you are using at that time, which can be shown in the picture below. If you save the file to your OneDrive, you will be able to access that file anywhere that you can sign in to your college.

FAQ
How many devices can I install Office on to?
You can install Office on up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 smartphones. It is important to note that this is linked to your school account, so you must not install this on a computer that you do not use personally.
How can I see what devices I have previously installed Office on to?
Navigate to https://portal.office.com/Account and click on 'My Account' > and then click 'View apps & devices' under the 'Office apps & devices' header.
How long does the subscription last?
Office will only remain active whilst you are under the employment of the Launceston College Multi Academy Trust.
