September 27, 2024
Dear parents,
Thank you so much for joining us at Open House last night. It was a pleasure to welcome you to our classrooms. Teachers are excited about the year and all that is ahead.
Room parents will be following up with all parents in the coming weeks.
As always, please let me or a staff member know if we can help or support you in any way.
Warmly,
Ms. Jen

School Photos
Professional photographers will be on our site on Monday-Wednesday next week. The Lower School day reserved for our individual and group photos will be on Monday, September 30.
You should have received an email from our Tech Department with instructions for how you can view and purchase the photos. Please reach out to helpdesk@asmadrid.es if you didn't receive this communication.
LS Map Testing
The lower school will take its Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments on October 8-10. The tests are adaptive to students’ answers and provide one of the many data points teachers use to meet the learning needs of our students.
All students test in Math, Reading, and Language Usage. The student-support staff ensures that all students who require accommodations will receive them. The divisional coordinators offer makeup opportunities Oct. 11, 14-16 for students who were absent or did not finish during the allotted times.
Students are requested to bring a book to read quietly after they finish their exams.
For more information, see the NWEA Family Toolkit. Parents will receive an email with the results toward the end of October. We will host a MAP introduction session on October 3, 3:00 - 3:45, especially for Grade 3 and new families. Please sign up here to attend the MS steps.
If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher or the K-12 Curriculum Coordinator at JasonDavis@asmadrid.es.
