AHS Course catalog

WELCOME

It is hard to believe, but it is already that time of year. Time to plan on the courses you will take for the next school year! Please take the time and energy to really delve into the course catalog to discover the many course options available to you. AHS is blessed to offer a wide variety of courses and options to appeal to everyone, but you have to make the effort in making informed choices. Select courses that align with what you may want to do after high school. Do you want to do an apprenticeship, attend RCC, go into the military, go to a university, or just go into the workforce? Get involved in the registration process to learn what opportunities are open to you that will help you reach your overall goal. We can help you access all pathways. If you don't know what you want to do after high school, set up an appointment with your counselor or Career Development Coordinator to do an interest inventory. Select something that you are curious to learn more about, knowing that it may be a stretch, but you'll gain a wealth of experience and knowledge. If a course title sounds interesting, but you're not sure, check with your counselor to talk to the teacher to learn more. Do not be passively engaged in the registration process. You will regret it when you are stuck in a course that you didn't research fully or were placed in because you didn't pick anything. Your immediate future is in your hands. You just have to steer yourself in the right direction.
