JAVIER IZA, FATHER OF CHRISTIANNE IZA

Mrs. Ale Cantu promotes Art in the community and in our Souls by creating events in La Casa de la Cultura and developing programs that enrich our life. She is active among her students and creates an atmosphere that challenges them to give the most they can to their designs.

She participates actively in outside programs as Sembrarte and helps Students out into scholarships of Important design Universities. She is a Total Design Leader and Art enthusiast!

Mrs. Ale Cantu has supported my daughter Christianne Lozano Iza specifically by challenging her into creative Art and outstanding themes of different techniques and representations. She is always creating new ways of presentations and asks Students to be patient during the process, which include thinking, exploring , executing and presenting the projects. One that comes to mind is a collection of photographs taken with a wall painted with urban graffiti and Christianne modeling her wardrobe futuristic designs, till it became a complete collection. It took many hours to complete this challenge but the final result was astonishing. She teaches her Students to explore to create and see results on her wonderful methods. I which all Art Teachers to learn her cognitive techniques which are Super original!

I will like to thank Mrs. Ale Cantu in helping out my daughter Christianne in becoming the wonderful designer She is aspiring to be. She has not only lifted her spirit and Soul but all of the people that have been touched by her. She is a Positive Person a true Art Passionate an Intellectual. I wish the very best for her now and forever!

Thank You Very Very Much

Dear Ms. Cantu,

I want to write you this letter to let you know how much you impacted my daughter during your class. My daughter likes to draw and as parents you never see a flaw in their work. But when she entered your drawing class she improved in her drawings and every piece of work she did in your class, was a piece of art worth keeping or selling. At the end of the year she gave several drawings to her other teachers because they asked her to.

But besides the academics in your class, what I saw in her was the persistence and hard work she gave to each piece. Not only because she liked drawing, she was interested in your opinion and how you saw her as an artist. You always knew how to push her enough to achieve a better version of herself and her work.

After taking your class we wanted her to direct her college options to those on art, but instead she chose an engineering degree. But she said she will continue with her art as a hobby. I am sending you pictures of her new hobby.

Thank you for all your dedication and encouragement you gave to our daughter. I hope you continue your work as an excellent teacher and an outstanding person.

Best regards,

Jessica Hernandez

To whom it may concern,

Dedication, perseverance, innovation, leading by example, kindness, integrity, collaboration, are just a few words that describe Ms. Ale Cantú.

In a very special way, I have had the privilege of being part of Ms. Cantú’s classroom as a parent. Her dedication, organization, careful and detailed planning, observations of student behavior and progress, intuition, and most importantly her love and passion for student learning and concern for them to strive and accomplish their best potential, not only as students but as members of a caring community; has always inspired her students to achieve higher standards.

As my daughter’s AP Art Teacher and Mentor, Ms. Ale has always shown great interest in her students’ talents and seeks ways that go beyond the classroom walls to enhance their opportunities to become better artists. She offers opportunities to participate in school activities and exhibitions, design logos and invitations for school events, coordinates expositions and museum visits, provides the means for her students to be part of local art fests and contests, and many other activities that enrich her students potential and motivation to grow professionally. Even now, at college, my daughter still seeks Ms. Ale’s advice, point of view, critique and expertise before turning in an art piece. Not only does Ms. Cantú share her wealth of knowledge, but she does is in a kind and heartwarming way.

Ms. Cantú is not only a teacher that dedicates each and every second of her time to her students but also shares her experience and knowledge with others: teachers, coaches, staff & parents; she has been an inspiration to many. Her leadership, expertise to support student growth, school initiatives, and to enhance relationships between all stakeholders, make her a valuable and recognized member of our ASFM community.

In learning,
