ART WORKSHOP WITH DR. SHEFALI TSABARY

SEPTEMBER 2018

I was contacted by a former student who is working with Dr. Tsabary in organizing an array of workshops in Monterrey. Dr. Tsabary's expertise lies in parent-teen communication and relationships. Alice Ravizé, my former student, asked me if I was interested in being part of the conference and plan and introduce two art workshops as part of the conference. Of course I said yes!

I will be working on two activities. The first one is called a Visual Art Journal where art+text come together. The second one is to make a face mask using air dry clay. The idea is to use the workshops to help strengthen the bods between mothers and daughters.

This is the presentation I used for the two art workshops I lead during Dr. Shefali's presentation.

After some small changes, this is the finished mural!

For the past several years, ASFM students have been supporting with the building of houses for homeless families. As part of their fundraiser the students ask the ASFM community to paint a small wooden house that will later be auctioned and the proceeds will go to help Techo. This is my house.

ART DECORATION IN MAIN OFFICE

I was asked if I could decorate the Main Office so I created a Sundial painting.

I decided to create an image that represents our amazing school.

DESIGNED SCHOOL PAINTINGS

FEBRUARY 2006

The HSSC students contacted me and asked me if I could make three designs of paintings that represent what ASFM is and has been for the community.

Once the design were done on three separate panels, composed of 16 individual canvases, diverse ASFM students took a canvas and painted it to their liking.

Once all the canvases were painted, they were put together on a large frame and have been displayed at the entrance of the MSHS building since.
