As the Avon Lake Volleyball season progresses, the Shoregals have put up an impressive record. With being ranked 4th in the SWC’s, the Shoregals have a promising road ahead of them. Captains, Kai Rybarczyk and Olivia Murtaugh, describe their season as hopeful.
The girls have played 12 games this season and have won 50% of them. However it’s not their preferred outcome. Rybarczyk, libero, believes “[they] will come out very strong the second half of the season because they have realized how much talent they have and how to work together.” The goals for the volleyball team as they wrap up the second half of their season are to keep playing off of every point, never take any plays off, and keep the energy high. Murtuagh feels the girls have become more confident in themselves which has helped the team tremendously.
With a few tough games left including Amherst and Olmsted Falls, the Shoregals need all the support they can get. Good luck Shoregals!
