This school year may be coming to a close during uncertain times, but the future of The Spectrum is crystal clear. Introducing Grace Osoteo, our favorite witty writer and your new Editor-in-chief!
Grace, a bubbly senior with a quick tongue and a knack for writing, has an impressive talent of bringing vibrancy to The Spectrum’s black and white print each month. Her articles are consistently passionate, well thought out, and incredibly entertaining. From recommending Halloween movies to standing up for the student body during quarantine, Osoteo is unafraid to speak her mind and positively defend her beliefs against any opposition. Odds are, her point will sway you anyways.
“I can take on serious topics, but I prefer to keep it lighthearted,” explains Osoteo. “I try to be witty. I like puns, though I try to keep them to a minimum when writing.”
In addition to her new role with ALHS’s favorite news source next year, Osoteo will also be involved as President of the Drama Club, a Merple, and a member of Math Club and Academic Challenge. A true jack of all trades, Grace is excited to see the new changes that may come with the upcoming school year, especially with The Spectrum.
“I’m very optimistic about this year,” says Osoteo. “I’m hoping we can look more into digitizing The Spectrum, with a bigger online/social media presence as well. I think we can become a lot more relevant that way. I’m also excited to work with the rising juniors!”
With a strong wit and positivity that brings news to life, Grace Osoteo is the perfect person to lead The Spectrum in the modern world of coronavirus. As the last of us graduating editors say our goodbyes, we are confident leaving groundbreaking ALHS news in the hands of Osoteo and her staff.
