Understanding your Child

Children’s needs and behaviours change as they get older, understanding their needs will help you better relate and support your child. Every stage needs a different approach.

Rules and boundaries help families to understand how to behave towards each other - what’s OK and not OK. The best way to go about this will be based on your child’s age and stage and your own parenting style. It will vary from toddler to teen.

Supernanny Tips

Parents will have different views about the best ways to encourage and praise children in order change their behaviour. While some younger children may respond well to reward charts, older children may respond to different offers whilst others won’t. Find out what works best for you and your child.
