We support families to learn, play and grow together so that they may improve their overall skills, confidence and wellbeing in areas and via topics that are of interest to them. We believe that parents are the experts in their own children, and we value their knowledge and experience to support positive change.
We provide:
- 1-1 support for parents/carers and their families
- Short courses delivered face to face, online or hybrid for all parents/carers across the city
- Open access drop-in sessions supporting general parenting, health and wellbeing, ASN and Kinship
- accessible activities in the school holidays for families across the city
- Boundaries and being consistent
- Support with ASN challenges
- Sleep routines
- Building confidence in parenting skills
- Effective communication between parents/carers and children
- Supporting parents to strengthen communication with school
- Providing advice on play, learning and child development
- Increasing parents’ self-esteem, allowing them to attend further learning opportunities
- Giving clear, honest advice and guidance on a range of topics
- Support with budgeting and aiding in financial difficulties
- Support with self-care and positive mental health practices
Our team and our offer are strengthened by working with our partner agencies and a wide range of local organisations. We often deliver a range of Groups in partnership with Aberdeen Science Centre, Sports Aberdeen or SensationALL to name a few.
Our sessions are available face to face in community centres and outdoor spaces, schools and online.
