Our second topic will be Transition and Class Choice
World religions is our focus with some time spent looking at one belief group independent of religion. We will look values, practices, customs or ceremonies / celebrations these groups / religions have and ways they mark major life events. We can compare that with the knowledge of christianity from prior learning.
The P7s walked up and back to Lochside Academy. This meant trying out some walking routes as an alternative to getting the bus in June for the S1 taster days and of course for when they begin there in August.
It was longer than expected!!
The STEAM day was successful and our Abbotswell winners from each activity were as follows:

Our P7 Rotary Team did very well at the ASG heat. We are very proud. We always knew it would be hard to keep the trophy and they give it their best shot!

P6/7M were super busy planning their International Space Stations today. They used junk modelling to be creative.
They added solar panels, modules, robotic arms and a lot more inventive parts too!
You can see the work in progress and then of course the finsihed pieces beside their plans. We discussed how the real thing can change a lot in the production phase and a plan is just a guide!
They enjoyed demonstrating their learning about the incredible invention and with it being such topical news, it supported our Science block on Topical Science!
