Readingwise - https://app.readingwise.com/
Try Big Maths at home - Big Maths
The children use the same login details as they do for the main Big Maths website each Friday. When they login each child will be directed to tasks matched with their personal next steps.
School code - 1460

any of the times tables?
the number bonds to 10, 20 or 100?
Literacy Challenges
Choose your favourite toy and write a story that uses openers and punctuation, if you want to challenge yourself our target this term will be connectives (e.g and, so, but) so try and add one in!
Practice your spelling sounds/words by typing them into the spelling training website- https://www.spellingtraining.com/ (remember everyone's spelling words are on the website).
Here are some Health and well-being activities Mrs Forbes has put together for us!

9 buttons are used on snowmen. 3 fall off. How many buttons remain?
There are 7 icicles on a roof. 2 melt.

How many does each child get? (Use counters / cubes / small objects)
5children are playing. 3 more join. Then 4 go inside.

Song order:
1. Calypso Carol (all)
2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (P1)
3. It was on a Starry Night (P1/2)
4. Santa Claus is Coming to Town (P2/3)
5. The 12 Days of Christmas (P3)
6. We Wish you a Merry Christmas (all)
Calypso Carol
Verse 1
See him lying on a bed of straw: a draughty stable with an open door; Mary cradling the babe she bore, the prince of glory is his name.
Chorus
Oh now carry me to Bethlehem, to see the Lord appear to men
Just as poor as was the stable then, the prince of glory when he came.
Verse 2
Star of silver, sweep across the skies, show where Jesus in the manger lies; Shepherds, swiftly from your stupor rise, to see the saviour of the world!
Chorus
Oh now carry me to Bethlehem, to see the Lord appear to men
Just as poor as was the stable then, the prince of glory when he came. (repeat once more)
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows
All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games
Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
Then how the reindeer loved him, as they shouted out with glee Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer you'll go down in history (repeat 2 more times)
It was on a Starry Night
Verse 1
It was on a starry night, when the hills were bright
Earth lay sleeping, sleeping calm and still
Then in a cattle shed, in a manger bed
A boy was born, king of all the world
Chorus
And all the angels sang for him, the bells of heaven rang for him
For a boy was born, king of all the world x2
Verse 2
Soon the shepherds came that way, where the baby lay
And were kneeling, kneeling by his side
And their hearts believed again, for the peace of men
For a boy was born, king of all the world
Chorus
And all the angels sang for him, the bells of heaven rang for him
For a boy was born, king of all the world x2
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
You better watch out, you better not cry,
You better not pout, I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
He's making a list, and checking it twice;
He's gonna find out who's naughty or nice
Santa Claus is coming to town
He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake! (repeat)
The 12 Days of Christmas
(starting from day 10)
On the twelfth day of Christmas My true love gave to me Twelve drummers drumming
Eleven pipers piping
Ten lords a-leaping
Nine ladies dancing
Eight maids a-milking
Seven swans a-swimming
Six geese a-laying
Five golden rings
Four calling birds
Three French hens
Two turtle doves
And a partridge in a pear tree
We Wish You a Merry Christmas
