Well done to Annie for challenging herself to be successful during Drawing Club this week!
We have been practicing lots of skills at RADS on a Tuesday with Fran. We have been learning how to control a ball with our feet.
We still love making crafts to consolidate the learning of our sounds. Here are our lions we made for 'l'.
Primary 1 had a fantastic afternoon in the snow during outdoor learning with Mr Miller.
Primary 1 had a very interesting discussion with some boys and girls from P6/7 discussing anti-bullying week. We made superhero sock puppets as it was odd socks day and chatted about how to use our Power for Good.

Term 2 Overview
Phonics
P1 are learning 2 sounds a week. One on a Monday and one on a Wednesday. Their homework will reflect this.
Reading
P1 will read 2 books a week. Starting with picture books while we are learning our sounds. Meeting our new friends - Biff, Chip, Kipper, Mum, Dad, Floppy, Wilf and Wilma.
Writing
P1 are following Greg Bottrill's Drawing Club scheme. We will read a story together, discuss new vocabulary, create our own character to talk about to create and copy a sentence.
Listening and Talking
P1 are focussing on taking turns, sharing and patience. We will complete this through circle time games.
Number
P1 are focussing on number bonds, addition and doubles.
Topic Maths
We will focus on time.
Bounceback
We will focus on relationships and wellbeing and anti-bullying.
We have already introduced our emotional check-in which children complete every morning and can change throughout the day.
We will have P.E every Thursday with Mrs Forbes and our RADS coach Fran .
We will have RADS every Tuesday with Fran.
We will be looking at biodiversity and interdependence and energy sources
and sustainability.
Our first topic this term is Historical following on from the end of term 1! We are looking at music, stories, tv shows, games.
We will then move onto Showtime!

We will focus on 2D and 3D shape, patterns and relationships, mathematics, its impact on the world past, present and future and Maths Week Scotland will be from 22nd - 28th September.
