Aberdeen FC Community Trust Football Programmes

Aberdeen FC Community Trust is delighted to offer a range of football development opportunities for children and young people of all ages and abilities. Sessions return from Monday 26 October 2026 and include programmes designed to help players develop skills, build confidence and enjoy the game in a positive environment.

Available programmes include:

⚽ Advanced Centres - Additional technical coaching for talented young players looking to enhance their skills, tactical understanding and decision-making alongside their club football.

⚽ Participation Centres - Fun, inclusive sessions for players of all abilities, focused on learning new skills, making friends and developing a love of football.

⚽ Performance Labs - Small-group coaching with tailored feedback, position-specific development and end-of-block player reviews to support individual progression.

⚽ Wee Dandies (Ages 2-7) - Engaging football sessions designed to introduce young children to the game through fun, age-appropriate activities that develop core skills and confidence.

These programmes provide a fantastic opportunity for children to stay active, develop their football skills and enjoy additional coaching outside of school and club commitments.

Coding Club

We are using Scratch Jr to learn about instructional language while creating animations. We are also using literacy, numeracy and wider technology skills throughout.

Term 1

We're delighted to launch our Term 1 Clubs, offering a fantastic range of opportunities for pupils to develop new skills, explore interests and have fun with friends beyond the classroom.

From singing, drama and film-making to coding, chess, gardening, LEGO, origami and multisports, there is something for everyone to enjoy. These clubs help children build confidence, creativity, teamwork and a sense of belonging within our school community.

A huge thank you to all of our staff, partners and parents who have volunteered their time to lead these clubs.

Extra-Curricular Clubs 2026-27

Following the success of our expanded extra-curricular programme during session 2025-26, Abbotswell School is excited to continue building on these opportunities throughout the 2026-27 school year.

We are committed to offering a wide range of clubs and activities that support children to develop new skills, build confidence, discover talents, and strengthen friendships beyond the classroom. From sport and the arts to leadership, STEM, wellbeing and creative opportunities, we aim to ensure there is something for everyone.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated staff, parent volunteers, Active Schools team, and valued partners including RADS and ACE Voices, whose generosity, expertise and commitment make these opportunities possible. Their support helps enrich the experiences of our pupils and provides opportunities that extend far beyond the curriculum.
