We have started our new topic Around the World! We will be learning more about sustainability, continents and be learning more about Japan specifically. To launch our topic some pupils in our class created their own 'Meerkat Getaways' travel agent during Fun 31.

We demonstrated our school values of teamwork and enthusiasm during our latest Outdoor Learning session. Take a look below at some of our creations and games that we played. 

Our Wednesday PE sessions will be delivered by Miss Brodie and Miss Smith from Lochside every third week. The focus of our first session was building relationships and teamwork. 

Today, we created our own mini water cycles and spoke about what we might see happening over the next couple of days.

Our pupil of the week this week is Thomas! He was chosen for demonstrating our school value of empathy. Thomas ensured that others felt included and listened to. Well done!

Our RADS this week built on our communication skills from last week and also linked with our Maths topic of Shape. 

As part of our Caring Citzens topic we have been creating our class charter and enjoying getting to know each other better. 

As part of our Caring Citizens topic we created our own scratch projects linked to our MEERKAT values. 

 In Science, we have been discussing why water is essential for life, whilst also exploring the journey of water through the Water Cycle.

We had our first session of Outdoor Learning this week. We shared our ideas for this school year with Mr Miller, enjoyed loose parts play and are already looking forward to our next session on Friday 4th September. 

Our pupil of the week this week is Harley! He was chosen for being an excellent role model to the younger pupils in our school.

We have been focussing on teamwork and communication skills in our first sessions of the school year. Our coaches have been really impressed and have already handed out RADS points.
