Focus: Motor Programme vs Discrete Skill / Principles of Skill Learning
Bell Question:
Go to Google Classroom and open the Motor Programme vs Discrete Skill reading.
Read through it.
Discuss with your partners, "What is the difference between Motor Programme and a Discrete Skill"
Today's In-Class/Remote Class Tasks:
We will discuss the Bell Question: Resolution
Motor programmes involve the muscle commands that are stored in the brain to perform an action and it does not require feedback.
Discrete skill involves specific motor skills that does require feedback.
The more you practice the skills, the more skillful a performer becomes
The more you practice the skills, the better the "mental blueprint" of muscle commands becomes. The muscles act in a manner that is consistent regardless of environment and feedback
Students will then work on the Principle of Skills Learning assignment, given in Google Classroom
