Pick an adventure then spin the wheel to find a random story starter. Make a copy of the Creative Story Starter doc then write a short story. Make it as creative and funny as you can. Post your short story to your blog and blog log.

As a class we will choose the sentence we like the best and write a paragraph each to follow the chosen sentence. Remember to use
different words to start each sentence and to stick to the main idea
the paragraph is about.

1. Positive - Compliment the author on something specific they have shared.
2. Thoughtful - Is there something the author has written about that reminds you of something similar? e.g. Did you know that we were in the same camp group?
3. Helpful - Can you add any more information? Or finish your comment by asking a question that might add more to the conversation.
4. Proof read your comment.

Mother's Day is a modern celebration honouring one's mother. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world. In New Zealand it is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. The celebration of Mother's Day began in the United States in the early 20th century.
