Walt: find specific evidence in the text.
Instructions
1.Read the story carefully.
- Explain in your opinion to a partner how one of the characters would be feeling and use specific evidence to justify why.
- Follow the instructions on the slide of the presentation to share with your audience the emotions your chosen character feels and your recorded justification of them.
3.Post the presentation with your WALT and a sentence about what you have been learning to your blog. Add to the blog log.
Reading Detectives

Instructions
1. Open the the doc: Cloze Reading - Number One
- Wait for your teachers instruction
- You will need to work on the doc with a partner so one person will need to share the doc with the other person so then you can work on it collaboratively.
- You and your partner will have the allocated time to fill in and reveal the hidden words based on words you know, that will make the story make sense.
2. Open the cloze reading task - On Frog Pond.
- Follow the same instructions as above.

2. Answer the multi choice questions about the text.
3. Blogger Activity:
- Create a google presentation or drawing that shares 3+ facts about giraffes using the text.
- Remember to change the backgrounds and titles.
- Post this onto your blog with 1 paragraph explaining what you have learned.
- Add to the blog log.

Instructions
1. Open the Lucidchart- What is Biosecurity and add all the new things you now know about Biosecurity.
2. Read the text carefully to find the key information to retell.
3. During reading with the teacher write down new words you don't know or words discussed then add them to our Vocab Padlet with their definitions.
4. Make a copy the presentation - Border Security Video
5. Follow the instructions to answer the questions by finding and retelling the key information from the text.
6. Share your presentation on your blog with a couple of sentences explaining what you have been learning about, what you found most interesting and WALT.

7. With a group make a video which could be shown at airports explaining Biosecurity and what things are of risk to NZ. Use the blue screen and iMovie to make your video look interesting and professional.
