Per School Board Policy 124, if a student fails English, Science, Social Studies, and/or Math course with a grade between 50-59.5%, the student will be eligible to attend a credit recovery summer school course through the Jenkintown MVP Program. If a middle/high school student fails English, Science, Social Studies, and/or a Math course with a final grade below 50%, the student will need to repeat the course that was failed during the following school year, unless granted special permission by the principal to complete a summer recovery course. Please note that all courses must be approved by the School Counselor to ensure that the student is taking the right class and will receive the right credit.
1) All summer school sessions will take place from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM.
2) Students may only miss 2 summer school sessions or they will be removed from the program.
3) If students finish their coursework prior to the end of the summer session, they will be able to miss the remaining sessions.
4) Any work not completed during the summer school session will need to be completed online by August 15, 2025
