10th and 11th Grade News:

The PSAT will be administered to the 10th and 11th grade students on Wednesday October 14, 2015:

The test will be administered during the regular school day and will begin promptly at 8:00am.  There is no make-up date.  It is important that your child participates in the testing.

On the day of the test, make sure your child:

1.     Shows up on time to school.

2.     Has had a good night sleep.

3.     Has had a well balanced breakfast.

4.     Brings #2 pencils, a calculator, and a watch (with alarms off).

Things you should know about the PSAT/NMSQT:

1.     The PSAT/NMSQT scores are used as pre-requisites for many Honors and AP courses.

2.     The only qualification for the National Merit Scholarship awarded upon graduation comes from the score results of the PSAT (this is only for current 11th Graders)

3.     In late December, we will receive the PSAT/NMSQT Score Report Plus and the students test book.

The 2015 Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT provides valuable information on the PSAT/NMSQT which also includes a practice test with an answer key.  For more detailed information, please visit http://www.collegeboard.com/parents/tests/meet-tests/21296.html
