Health Care Volunteering Opportunities
If you have an interest in a Health Care Career, the programs listed below (and above) will give you valuable experience in your career exploration as well as an opportunity to give back to your community.
Abington Memorial Hospital (AMH):
AMH offers both volunteering opportunities and community service hours. If you would like to volunteer, visit the links listed below for more details on the programs offered. High School students (ages 14 and over) who need community service hours for school credit may do so as an Abington Memorial Hospital volunteer if they agree to serve a minimum of 50 hours. Only high school seniors who have been AMH volunteers for one full school year prior to May of their senior year are considered for May senior community service projects. Students without prior AMH volunteer experience may volunteer at Abbie's Thrift Shop for a two to three week project as a special accommodation. If you would like to join the team of more than 1,500 hospital volunteers, contact: Volunteer Resources Department, Abington Memorial Hospital, 1200 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001, (215) 481-2490, (215) 481-4954 (fax), www.amh.org, amh-volunteer@amh.org (email)
