Week 41 2014

Week 41 started with many little details to fix in the code. First we similiarized the ways we called variables. Everything has to be done in camel-style. Then all the code has to be commented that the previous developer can build up from our code. On wednesday we have been at Menlo park and finished the whole functional stuff. Not only this, we also finished the session expiration handling and implemented an authentification check into every single method in the PHP code.

First, we wanted to use a finished dropdown menu by some foreign developers, but then we decided to make our own dropdown menu in css3. This finally worked even if it was a big deal first to figure if we really don't want to use javascript. The final step on wednesday was to bring the design to one corprate color scheme. For that we watched the original swisscom website from switzerland. Now our page looks similiar to the swisscom.ch design.

Thursday afternoon was another code fix and documentation day. The management summary was born and we started with some manual-like sheets. Our project manager tested the webpage on thursday at Menlo park.

'we are curious yet, what he's going to tell us'.

Here is the final list (thu, 9th october) of To Do's:

  • Autoreload of our website (in Javascript / without a visible reload of the page)

  • implement a MessageBox for some failures / evaluate if this is needed?

  • transfer the whole webpage to elb.ch for presentation reason (backup) and probably install racktables on elb.ch

  • administration page with password management (for racktables, from LDAP)

  • typebased fields in insertStack option

  • comments in JS code and CSS code

  • design check in all forms and tables

  • update google sites (and english corrections)

  • probably reinstall Ubuntu (having a clear server)

  • Documentation (use / frameworks / code / LDAP)

  • testing and fixing
