Introduction of the project
Dacuda started as a spin-of company from ETH-Zürich in 2008 and raised very successful money on Kickstarter for their first project - the worlds smallest wireless scanner. For more information visit Kickstarter.com. Dacuda is expanding the product portfolio to the 3D area. Initially, Dacuda will build an iOS app for mobile food photography in 3D. Food photography is a tremendously growing area and a phenomenon worldwide. While Instagram and other applications have already a significant user base related to this field, the adoption is still in its infancy. The key problem is that it is difficult to create a great photo of food by a regular user and therefore the 2D photos often look poor. Dacudas focus is to advance the experience towards 3D – transporting more of the physical sensation into the digital world. The goal is to make it easy to capture and share the food you love in 3D.
